Shia 'dharna' at UP assembly on Dec 9

Lucknow, Dec 5 (UNI) Shia Democratic Alliance (SDA) will stage a 'dharna' in front of the Uttar Pradesh assembly on December 9 in support of their demands.

This was announced at an Alliance meeting here today, which was chaired by SDA president Sayyed Ali Hussain Kummi.

Mr Kummi alleged the interests of the Shias were being neglected and to attract the attention towards the ''plight'' of the community, the dharna was being organised.

The SDA office-bearers will also tour several cities to create political awareness among the Shias.
