Sahara names without my consent, says complainant

Mumbai, Dec 5 (UNI) Nafisa Shaikh, one of the main prosecution witnesses and a complainant in the Sara and Sahara twin shopping complex case, today apprised the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court that the three names mentioned in her complaint were added without her consent.

Deposing before the court, she said the names of Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar, Chhota Shakeel and Abdul Sattar Telli, mentioned in her complaint, were done so, without her knowledge.

According to the prosecution, the commercial complex, allegedly owned by US Designated and Pakistan-based global terrorist Dawood Ibrahim, has been built on a land owned by Central Public Works Department.

In all eight people, including four officials of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) are facing trial in the illegal construction of the twin complex.

Meanwhile defence cross examination on Nafisa will continue tomorrow before MCOCA Judge M R Bhatkar.
