Red Hat, Satyam partner to deliver open source solutions
Bangalore, Dec 5 (UNI) Red Hat, the world's leading provider of open source, today announced its strategic partnership with Satyam, the leading global consulting and IT services provider, to provide innovative and cost-effective open source solutions for its customers.
Red Hat and Satyam were also planning to set up a Centre of Excellence (COE) and Open Source Lab in Bangalore to develop horizontal competencies and business solutions on Red Hat and JBoss platforms, according to a release here.
Satyam had strong vertical domain skills and knowledge in financial services, insurance, retail and manufacturing. Satyam ADMS (Application Development and Management Systems) group and IMS (Infrastructure Management Systems) group have worked together with Red Hat to roll out the COE at Satyam's Bangalore centre, wherein all the leading edge technologies on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and JBoss solutions would be showcased and prototyped for customers of both domestic and global markets.
