PRO FX ties up with CHORD

Bangalore, Dec 5 (UNI) Adding a new dimension to premium high-end audio systems, PRO FX today announced a strategic alliance with CHORD Electronics Limited of the United Kingdom to launch super premium hi-fi and home theatre products in the country.

The two audio brands would combine their unique talents to add a new meaning to the phrase 'aural entertainment' in the home theatre segment in India, PRO FX COO Manmohan Ganesh told newspersons here.

Available in the price range of Rs five lakh to Rs four million for complete electronic system, CHORD audio systems, founded by aviation electronics designer John Franks, had key models whose distortion level was less than 0.003 per cent compared to the one per cent distortion of standard hi-fi products.

The CHORD amplifier range had a model of any audiophile speaker from 50 watts to 3200 watts, Mr Franks said.

Mr Ganesh said PRO FX, currently having five exclusive outlets across the country, would enhance it to 15 over the next 30 months.

Stating that there was a huge potential for this sort of high-end products with a market size forecast of over Rs 250 crore, he said PRO FX aimed at filling the vacuum by bringing in ultimate brands such as Chord.
