PM announces Rs 5 crore loan to ASCI

Hyderabad, Dec 5: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today announced a Rs five crore interest-free loan to the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) for constructing a second campus in th city.

Participating in the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the ASCI here, Dr Singh said the college should strive to expand its capabilities and reach out to many countries in the area of service and cooperation.

Stating that the ASCI was acting as a bridge between the public and private sectors to help government and private business house work together, the Prime Minister said the ASCI should further help the government in impartial assessment of performance of government programmes.
