Passengers injured in bus collision

Cuddalore, Dec 5: As many as 58 passengers were injured when two buses in which they were travelling collided head-on at Anguchettipalayam near Panruti in this district of Tamil Nadu today.

Police said the private bus from Kallakurichi was on its way here, while the Government-owned bus was proceeding from here to Salem, when the mishap occurred.

All the injured were rushed to the Government General hospital at Panruti from where 18 of them were referred to the Government Headquarters hospital here, police said.
