Nineteen bar dancers released on bail
Mumbai, Dec 5 (UNI) Nineteen bar dancers, who were arrested on charges of obscenity from a hotel in Colaba area in south Mumbai, were released today.
They were produced before Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate S Y Shisode, who released them on cash bail of Rs 3, 000 each.
Acting on a tip-off that girls in the age group of 18-24 years indulged in obscene dance in hotel 'Wood', in Colaba area, police laid a trap last night and arrested them.
They were arrested under section 8(b) of Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA).
