Marlabs to open new campuses in Bangalore, Mysore
Bangalore, Dec 5 (UNI) Marlabs Inc, the US-based technology services and solutions provider to select verticals, is betting on India to fuel its global growth, leading to exponential expansion in India.
Elaborating on the expansion at a press conference here, Mr Sunil Nambiar, Head, Global Delivery, Marlabs India, today announced that the company would investment Rs 100 crore that would primarily go into setting up two state-of-the-art campuses in Bangalore and Mysore. Besides, it would also set up a Global Training and Development Centre in Mysore. The India headcount would also rise from the current 400 to over 2,000 in the next three years. The Mysore campus would be inaugurated this week, he added.
The company's early focus on being close to its clients in the US had paid rich dividends. It had now decided to increase its presence in India by doing its product development, application development and support. This implied significant domain knowledge and IP would be built in the country as well.
Company Associate Vice-President, Professional Services, Vignesh Hebbar said ''we expect the professional services market in India to grow rapidly and mature in the next few years and being a forerunner in this space, we will look to ride on that growth. It is this projected growth and the continuing need to train our lateral hires that has led to the Global Training Centre at Mysore.'' Marlabs India provided full suite of solutions and services for healthcare, insurance, real estate, media and entertainment verticals. It partnered leading technology firms like Microsoft, IBM, Oracle and Sybase.
