Maha govt should be dismissed: Minorities Front
Mumbai, Dec 5: The Maharashtra Minorities Front today demanded the dismissal of the State government after it was denied permission to hold a dharna tomorrow to mark the 14th anniversary of Babri Masjid demolition.
The Front Chairman Mohammad Faroque Azam in a memorandum to Maharashtra Governor S M Krishan and President A P J Abdul Kalam, said, ''this government should be dismissed as it has been harassing the minorities and dalits by refusing them their fundamental right to protest.'' Mr Azam had applied for police permission to organise a dharna at Nagpada and Malwani at Malad in North Mumbai, which was, however, denied.
Despite the denial, the Front will go ahead with the dharna, the release added.
