Lankan arrested for ATM fraud in Chennai
Chennai, Dec 5 (UNI) The city police arrested a Sri Lankan born UK citizen for fraudulently withdrawing Rs 15,500 from an ATM of the State Bank of India.
Police said, Radhakrishnan, who holds a United Kingdom citizenship, yesterday went to the ATM located at Royapettah and started withdrawing money using fake ATM cards.
On suspicion, the security guard manning at the ATM questioned the genuiness of his ATM cards. Not satisfied with his reply, he caught hold of Radhakrishnan and handed him over to the police.
After detailed interrogation he was arrested and remanded to judicial custody, police said.
