Honda launches the all new CR-V in Bangalore
Bangalore, Dec 5: Honda Siel Cars India, leading manufacturer of premium cars in the country, today launched its all new third generation Honda CR-V in the city.
The new completely re-designed car offered a distinctive combination of 'comfort of a sedan with the sporty drive of an SUV.' It had best-in-class safety features to ensure passenger as well as pedestrian safety. Some of the new features included tilt and telescopic steering, driver side 8-way power seat adjustment 6-CD MP3 player.
Talking to newspersons on the occasion, HSCI President and Chief Executive Officer Masahiro Takedagawa said the new vehicle was targeted at audience with an average age of 35-40 years. It would be a Honda's image builder in the Indian market, he hoped.
Replying to queries, he said the company would cross two milestones during next week when it would sell its 10,000th Honda Civic and cross two lakh customers as well. The company had increased its production capacity to manufacture one lakh units a year. It had set a target to sell 62,000 cars during the current year as against 43,000 last year.
He said the company had six per cent share in the Indian passenger car market and 26 per cent in the premium car segment.
