Govt denies reports of design missing from Balco

New Delhi, Dec 5 (UNI) The Government today denied media reports that designs, drawings and research papers relating to the manufacture of special plates body covers of fighter aircraft missiles and space shuttle accessories are missing from BALCO, Kobra.

In a written reply in the Lok Sabha Mines Minister Sis Ram Ola said Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO) which was privatised durng the NDA regime has informed that it is in the business of manufacture of primary aluminium in the form of ingots, sheets, plates, slabs and billets. For manufacture of these, the company has not been provided any designs, drawings and research papers relating to the manufacture of special plates, body covers of fighter aircraft missiles and space shuttle accessories.
