Govt announces holiday to schools on Dec 6

Mumbai, Dec 5 (UNI) Maharashra government has announced a holiday in all schools and colleges in the city tomorrow, considering the huge rush of the people that would come in the city to pay their respect to the late Dr B R Ambedkar on the occasion of his 50th death anniversary.

A recommendation to this effect was earlier made by police officials, considering the huge rush that could create hurdle for school-going buses and children.

Meanwhile, the followers of Dr Ambedkar have started coming in the city and they would go to Chaityabhoomi, Dadar, in central Mumbai to pay respect to their leader tomorrow.
