Five ULFA actiivsts killed in an encounter
Guwahati, Dec 5 (UNI) At least five ULFA militants were killed in an encounter at Namhulung village in Tinsukia district of Asom this morning.
According to Army sources here, the ULFA exploded a powerful bomb targeting a patrol party of 6th J and K rifles at about 0730 hours in the village.
The bomb, however, missed the patrol party.
An encounter followed immediately and one ULFA militant Jiten Urang died on the spot.
The Army claimed that four more militants were also killed but bodies were yet to be identified.
