Farmer commits suicide due to financial debts

Eluru, Andhra Pradesh Dec 5 (UNI) A 62-year old farmer committed suicide at Satyavole village in Pedapadu Mandal in West Godavari district today.

Police said Kota Surya Prakashrao consumed pesticide at his house this afternoon. Immediately, he was admitted to the Government Hospital here by his family members, but he died later, while undergoing treatment.

Financial problem was cited as the reason for the farmer taking the extreme step.

Mr Rao was also a victim of floods incurred losses in cultivation, police added.
