EOW submits report on NRI quota admission

Indore, Dec 5 (UNI) The State Economic Offences Investigation Bureau has submitted a report in the court here yesterday in connection with the former DGP Swaraj Puri's son Shreyas Puri's admission under the NRI quota in the government engineering college here.

The Bureau had submitted 250-page report before Additional Sessions Judge Akhilesh Pandya on the court's directive.

Mr Puri was removed as DGP and shifted to the Home Guards in the wake of a petition filed by Mr Mahesh Garg of Indore challenging his son's admission under NRI quota.

The High Court had directed scrapping of the FIR on Mr Puri's petition, but ordered that the probe would continue.

Mr Babulal Somani, a businessman of Indore, had sponsored the admission of Mr Shreyas.
