Engineer convicted in bribe case
Bhopal, Dec 5 (UNI) A special court of Tikamgarh has sentenced PHED executive engineer to three-year rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5,000 in a case of bribery.
Official sources said the engineer Rajendra Prasad Suhane was caught redhanded by the Lokayukta police officials while taking bribe of Rs 30,000 from contractor Rajesh Kumar Jain.
Bribe of Rs 50,000 was demanded for clearing the final bill for works carried out by the contractor, who had later lodged a complaint with the Lokayukta office at Sagar, sources said.
