Elections held in 3 panchayats

Tirupati, Dec 5 (UNI) Amid tight security, elections were held peacefully for M R Palle, Settipalle and Thimminaidupalem panchayats in Andhra Pradesh today.

The elections were not held here earlier this year along with other villages, due to certain legal problems.

According to official sources the poll percentage of 35 was recorded at M R Palle, 50 in Settipalle and 60 in Thimminaidupalem.

However, the results wold be announced later as the Supreme Court on November 30 directed the State Election Commission not to announce the election results till further orders, the sources added.
