DA to carpet industry labours hiked by Rs 55

Kanpur, Dec 5 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government has hiked the Dearness Allowance (DA) to the carpet industry labours by Rs 55.

This was informed by state labour commissioner R K Pandey here today.

Mr Pandey said the labours were now entitled to a monthly DA of Rs 1,462 for six month duration from August 1, 2006 to January 31, 2007.

Earlier, the DA in the industry was at the level of Rs 1,407.
