BSP MLA arrested, jailed
Mahoba, Dec 5 (UNI) Controversial BSP MLA from Hamirpur district's Maudha assembly constituency Badshah Singh and his two aides were arrested and later sent to jail.
The action was taken after a local court cancelled his bail application in a case.
In the recently concluded Uttar Pradesh local body poll, an armed clash had taken place between Badshah Singh and his nephew Raju Singh under Kharela city panchayat area.
Later, Raju had registered a case against the BSP leader and his nine supporters.
However, Badshah Singh secured stay on his arrest from the Allahabad High Court pending the investigation.
On expiry of the stay on arrest duration, the legislator surrendered before the Charkhari additional district court today and submitted a bail application, which was rejected.
Subsequently, he was arrested and put behind bars.
