Accused surrenders before CBI

Kochi, Dec 5 (UNI) Mumbai-based ABC&Sons Chairman Adi Dubash, an accused in connection with alleged irregularities in providing a contract by Fertilizers and Chemicals of Travancore Ltd (FACT) to his company, today surrendered before the CBI.

CBI sources said he had surrendered and was being questioned. The High Court on November 10 directed Mr Dubash to surrender before the investigating agency today.

The agency had arrested a senior official and nine former officials of the FACT in connection with the case, the sorces added.

The arrested, who were granted bail, were accused of causing a loss of Rs 78 crore to the fertilizer company in transportation of imported ammonia from Wellington Island to its plant in Ambelamedu.
