29-day-old infant undergoes rare open-heart surgery

Visakhapatnam, Dec 5 (UNI) A rare open-heart surgery was performed on a 29-day-old male child for anomalous venous correction at a city hospital here today.

A release from the hospital said, a team of doctors led by Chief Cardiothoracic Surgeon P V Satyanarayana performed the operation.

The operation was conducted on the infant, Yashwant who weighed 3.2 kg.
