Village people resort to agitation on river pollution
Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, Dec 4 (UNI) The residents of the Virusampatti village in Tuticorin district today resorted to agitation before the District Collector's office for its failure to take steps to solve the problem of sea water polluting river Vaipar preventing them from using it for drinking water and farming purposes.
Official sources said the residents alleged that despite their submitting a petition to the concerned officials in this regard, no action was taken to redress their grievances.
