UP govt to take vote-on-accounts for next fiscal tomorrow
Lucknow, Dec 4 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government today approved the vote-on-accounts for the first four months of the next financial year, which is expected to be tabled in the assembly tomorrow.
The finance bill -- expected to be approved by the house -- would in another sense a confidence vote of the Mulayam Singh Yadav government.
State cabinet meeting chaired by chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav this morning approved the vote-on-accounts for the months from April to July in 2007-08.
A senior minister in the cabinet said the government was preparing for the assembly polls in February, hence it brought the vote-on-accounts.
He informed the proposal of vote-on-accounts might be tabled in the assembly tomorrow.
The present government had already approved two supplementary budgets during the current financial.
