Travel Agent involved in manpower racket arrested

New Delhi, Dec 4 (UNI) With the arrest of a man from West Delhi, police today claimed to have busted a racket of sending people illegally to foreign countries as part of a manpower racket.

Amrit Pal (30) was arrested from Rohini yesterday, police said.

During interrogation, he revealed that he was involved in the racket since 2002 and went to Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and Jordan several times on fake passports. He was deported from Jordan in 1998.

The accused had taken three people from Punjab to Indonesia via Thailand. He then took them to Singapore.

He also admitted his involvement being involved in three other cases of fraud and cheating and one case of car jacking in Amritsar.

Further investigations are in progress.
