Top officials meet to discuss AI-Indian merger

New Delhi, Dec 4 (UNI) A committee of secretaries (CoS) headed by cabinet secretary B K Chaturvedi today examined various important issues relating to the proposed merger of Air India (AI) and Indian.

Though no details were available, the CoS was scheduled to discuss issues like exemption of stamp duty, integration of employees and legal matters.

Last week, the group of ministers (GoM) headed by external affairs minister Pranab Mukherjee had decided to constitute the CoS which will submit its report within a fortnight.

The CoS will also look into the details of a presentation made by consulting consortium led by Accenture.
