Three killed, seven injured in mishap at Nanded

Nanded, Dec 4 (UNI) Three persons were killed on the spot and seven others seriously injured today when a jeep in which they were travelling skidded off the road on the Mudkhed-Umri road, about 30 km from here.

The mishap occurred around 1730 hrs this evening. the Jeep was carrying about 22 passengers and it skidded when its driver lost the control over the vehicle, the police sources said.

The police said that the injured, including the driver of the vehicle, were admitted to the civil hospital here.

The other passengers received minor injuries and were given first-aid at the site, police sources said.

The police have registered an offence against the driver of the Jeep for carrying excess passengers.

The deceased were identified as S S Khandre (45), Babusha Gaikwad (22) and Dhondu Ghadlinge (30), police said.
