Sadhu Yadav surrenders, sent to jail
Patna, Dec 4 (UNI) Controversial RJD MP Sadhu Yadav, an accused in the multi-crore flood relief scam, today surrendered before a Special Vigilance Court and was remanded in judicial custody.
Mr Yadav, brother of former Chief Minister Rabri Devi, was wanted in connection with a case relating to fraudulent transfer of a vehicle in his name despite the same being registered against a different person with Delhi Motor Vehicle Licensing Authority.
The fact came to light during an investigation into the flood relief scam, State Vigilance Bureau sources said.
The MP from Gopalganj was evading arrest after warrant was issued against him following which the court had ordered attestation of his properties.
A regular bail petition was moved after Mr Yadav had surrendered before Special Vigilance Judge Munnilal Paswan today.
However, the court did not take up the bail petition for hearing and sent him in judicial custody.
