Sadhu Yadav sent to jail till Dec 12

Patna, Dec 4 (UNI) A special vigilance court today sent high profile RJD MP and former chief minister Rabri Devi's brother, Aniruddh alias Sadhu Yadav, to jail till December 12 after he surrendered before the court in connection with a case relating to multi-crore flood relief scam.

Special judge of the vigilance court Muni Lal Paswan, while sending Mr Yadav to Beur central jail in judicial custody, fixed December six for hearing the regular bail petition filed by him.

Meanwhile, in response to Mr Yadav's prayer to the court to provide him special prisoner status in jail, the judge directed the superintendent of Beur central jail to extend all facilities to the MP as per provisions in the jail manual.

A non bailable warrant was pending execution against Mr Sadhu Yadav who was evading arrest. He was wanted on charges of fraudulent transfer of a vehicle in his name in connivance with district transport office at Patna although the vehicle was registered against another person with Delhi Motor Vehicle Licensing Authority.

The irregularity came to light during investigation of the flood relief scam.
