Phagwara, Dec 4 (UNI) The Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal)-BJP combine, if returned to power in the forthcoming Assembly elections in Punjab, will set up a high-level enquiry commission to expose the alleged corruption of the Congress Government in the state.

This was announced by Akali leader and former Finance Minister capt Kanwaljit Singh and Punjab BJP President Avinash Rai Khanna while addressing a BJP rally at local hargobind nagar ground here today.

Lashing out at the present Congress Government for its non-performance, they alleged that Chief Minister Amarinder Singh had done nothing for the common man but remained busy in giving benefits to 15 big industrial houses, ignoring the interests of the people.

They alleged that the Government had acquired large chunks of land of farmers and sold it to big houses on throwaway prices.

They described the ''Vikas Yatra'' of the Chief Minister as misuse of government funds, saying it aimed at projecting the Congress only.

While condemning the Tarn Taran clash between SAD(A) and Shiv Sena activists, both leaders held the Congress responsible for it.

Mr Khanna said that despite several reminders, he could not get information about the City Centre Scam, Ludhiana, and now he had knocked the doors of State Chief Information Commissioner Rajan Kashyap who assured him to provide detailed information within 15 days.
