New Delhi, Dec 4 (UNI) The Rajya Sabha was adjourned for the day when it reassembled at 1400 hrs after Opposition members created a furore over the arrest of BJP President Rajnath Singh in West Bengal while en route to express solidarity with farmers protesting against the sale of land to Tata Motors in Singur.
BJP members Sushma Swaraj, Venkaiah Naidu and S S Ahluwalia led the opposition's demand along with some other members against the state government's move to arrest Mr Singh.
Deputy Chair Rehman Khan immediately adjourned the house at 1400 hrs as the house re-assembled.
The upper house was adjourned thrice earlier -- twice on the issue of the desecration of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar's statue in UP and thereupon on the arrest of Mr Singh.
