Poverty-stricken youth commits suicide

Mahoba, Dec 4 (UNI) A poverty-stricken youth allegedly committed suicide by self-immolation in Kulpahad area here early today.

Later, police recovered the charred remains of Prakash, from his house in Tauriapura Mohal locality.

According to neighbours, the victim was unemployed and was facing financial crunch for a long time.

Prakash, who was also an alcoholic, was financially supported by his eunuch brother Nagina.

Around 0200 hrs, Prakash doused his person with kerosene and set himself afire, police said.

A case had been registered in this regard.
