Pakistan for free trade agreement with GCC: Kasuri
Islamabad, Dec 4 (UNI) Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid M Kasuri has said negotiations are continuing on a framework for Free Trade Agreement with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
''In a bid to enhance bilateral trade and cooperation with Oman, Pakistan wants a free trade area with the country,'' he said adding, Pakistan and Oman enjoy close cordial relations with regional countries.
Mr Kasuri told PTV that at present modalities were being worked out in this regard.
Describing his talks with Omani officials fruitful after an official visit to the country, he said Pakistan was persistently trying to improve its relations with the rest of the world, including the Gulf countries, especially Oman.
