Bangalore, Dec 4 (UNI) In an industry first move for potential IT professionals in Andhra Pradesh, the city-based Professional Aptitude Council (PAC) today announced its partnership with Andhra Pradesh Directorate of Collegiate Education (DCE) to help students take the global standard tests conducted by PAC.

DCE would introduce PAC exams to all the students of Government and aided colleges in Andhra Pradesh. PAC would administer the examination and measure the aptitude of the student to perform in technical jobs within a global IT business setting, a PAC release here said.

While giving special attention to colleges in rural Andhra, the Directorate aimed at strengthening efforts to educate women and provide educational oportunities to the weaker sections of the society. In addition, DCE had aimed at introducing need-based vocational courses.

Candidates taking the exam would be entitled to membership on PAC Propel, an industry-only exclusive source of pre-qualified candidates, for the next two years. The PAC exam was intended for job candidates from all disciplines interested in taking assignments within the IT field. The tests include aptitude, baseline technical knowledge, personality and psychometrics, the release said.
