One killed, three injured in accident in HP

Shimla, Dec 4 (UNI) One person was killed and three were injured, one of them seriously, after their jeep skidded off and into a gorge in this district of Himachal Pradesh today, police sources said.

The jeep fell into the gorge at Thihana village, about 30 km from here at about 1515 hrs, killing one person on the spot and injuring three others.

The sources said three people identified as Lokeshwar, 25, Sonu, 23, and Babloo, 20, were injured, while another person identified as Hira Singh was killed in the accident.

The condition of the one of the three seriously injured was critical and the doctors said he had been referred to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMC) here, the sources said.

The sources said the cause of the accident was not yet known adding that a case has been registered and investigations were on.
