NSF to block highways on Dec 5
Kohima, Dec 4: The agitating Naga Students' Federation (NSF) will impose a total blockade on all the highways from tomorrow.
The NSF decided to intensify their stir as the government had not fulfilled their demand for a CBI probe into the NPSC scam.
Yesterday, the NSF had also burned effigies of 'corruption' here, sources said.
NSF president Phushika Aomi said all the highways, leading to Kohima town, would be blocked and the roads within the capital would be taken care of.
Asked upon whether it would affect the ongoing 'Hornbill' festival, he said, ''It is the problem of the government.'' However, the blockades would also affect the flow of tourists for the ongoing Hornbill Festival in the state.
Meanwhile, an NSF release issued here informed that 'responsible' organisations (Federal units) would station their volunteers at respective check gates from 0600 hours tomorrow.
Earlier, the government had advertised a letter in the local media appealing the NSF to call off their agitation stating that the actions against the accused in NPSC scam have been initiated.
