Metal prices almost steady on moderate industrial demand

Mumbai, Dec 4 (UNI) Metal prices remained almost steady on moderate industrial demand, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said today.

In ferrous cateogry, brass cuttings rose by Rs 200 per quintal on lesser stock supply.

Non-ferrous category prices remained steady on moderate demand.

Tin slab declined by Rs five per kg on thin buying support.

Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 35,100, Copper utensils - Rs 32,000, Brass utensils - Rs 22,800, Brass cuttings - Rs 27,000 and Aluminium utensils - Rs 11,000.

Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 38,500, Aluminium ingots - Rs 14,000, Zinc slab - Rs 24,500, Lead ingots - Rs 7,800, Tin slab - Rs 580 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 1,850 (per kg).
