Man kills young wife, infant daughter

Sangrur, Dec 4 (UNI) A 50-year-old man allegedly killed his 24-year-old wife and infant daughter with a sharp-edged weapon here today.

According to police, Jaspal Kaur, the mother of the victim Rajvinder Kaur, has lodged a complaint that her son-in-law Surjit Singh, along with some unidentified associates killed her daughter and grand-daughter near Kakkadwal-Rajo Majra nullah this morning.

According to Jaspal Kaur, it was a second marriage for both Surjit and Rajvinder. Surjit, who she claimed had lied about his age at the time of marriage, used to often quarrel with Rajwinder, doubting her charater.

The police has sent the body for post mortem and booked Surjit, who is absconding, under sections 302, 34 of IPC.
