Kingfisher swimsuit special calendar launched

Mumbai, Dec 4: The Kingfisher Swimsuit Special Calendar 2007 -The French Riveria' was unveiled by Dr Vijay Mallya, Chairman of UB group, onboard the majestic yacht 'The Indian Empress' by Bollywood star Preity Zinta.

A platform for Indian fashion, this year's calendar features renowned designers Abhishek Gupta, Anamika Khanna, Malini Ramani, Namrata Joshipura, Nanadita Basu, Pankaj Ahuja, Rina Dhaka, Ranna Gill, Shantanu Goenka and Varun Bahl, hand picked from the FDCI Fashion week by veteren designer Rohit Bal on special request by Dr Vijay Mallya.

These designs are showcased by six beautiful models Deepti Gujral, Shamita Singha, Nikii Daas, Mia Udeya, Bruna Abdalah, and Selma Lasrado. Selma also has this unique distinction of being a flight attendant on Kingfisher Airlines, a release said.

The International award winning (winner of the FAB award 2004 and 2005), the 'must have' limited edition Kingfisher calendar is magnificently shot by ace photographer Atul Kasbekar.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mallya said, ''The Kingfisher swimsuit special calendar is not just a calendar, it is India's most flamboyant, most sought after platform to showcase the new India fashion, style, beauty and of course the inimitable Indian talent. This year my new yacht 'The Indian Empress' was home base to the crew in the exotic French Riviera. The Kingfisher swimsuit special calendar 2007 is proudly Indian, showcasing beautiful Indian girls, talented Indian designers and of course Atul Kasbekar one of India's finest photographers.''
