Killer sentenced to life by court

Mahoba, Dec 4 (UNI) A court has pronounced life imprisonment on a person accused in a nine year old murder case here.

According to prosecution, on March 26, 1997 -- Chaturbhuj was shot dead by miscreants Suraj Ahirvar and his aide Kamta Luhar over a dispute in Budhaura village under Kulpahad police station area.

Later, an FIR was lodged against the deceased.

On the basis of substantial evidence and testimony, Additional District and Sessions Court Judge Ashok Kumar Verma on saturday slapped life in prison to Suraj and imposed a penalty of Rs 5,000 on him, while the other accused, Kamta had already died.
