Bangalore, Dec 4 (UNI) A new outfit called Karnataka Film Producers Forum has come to existence for the welfare of the Kannada Film Industry.
Speaking to newsmen Forum President B M Harish said the new organisation would work towards safeguarding the interests of film producers in the state.
Referring to recent stand taken by Kannada Film Producers Association against workers involved in the industry, he said that if the same situation continued for some more time, then there would not be any theatres for Kannada films. The controversy had led to stopping of Kannada Film production for the last one and a half month.
Replying to queries, he hoped that the issue would be resolved at a meeting to be convened on December 10. Even if there was no final decision, the Forum would go ahead with its plan to ensure that production of new Kannada films were started immediately as there were over 50 Producers waiting to start Kannada films.
