Eastern collaborates with BioMerieux for quality control
Kochi, Dec 4 (UNI) Eastern Condiments, the flagship company of Eastern Group, in collaboration with French company BioMerieux, has installed a laboratory to check the quality of spices and food products.
Addressing newspersons here today, Eastern Group Chairman M E Meeran said the facility, first in India, was one of the comprehensive systems for checking quality of the spices and ready-to-eat food products.
"With the state-of-the-art lab, the checking of the products can be reduced by five days resulting in early delivery of products," he added.
He said, "the system ensures that every product meets the highest global quality standards and help in attaining market leadership." BioMerieux Managing Director Rekha Khanna said, "it is our endeavour to fight for good health and safe food products and this association with Eastern Condiments would be a trend setter for other companies in the country." BioMerieux Asia-Pacific Marketing Head Francis Doleans and Eastern Group Technical Head M S Sebastian were present on the occasion.
BioMerieux is a global player in the field of vitro diagnosis and industrial microbiological controls.
