Dalits protest desecration of Ambedkar statue in UP

Hubli, Dec 4 (UNI) Dalit organisations today took out a silent procession, condemning the desecration of Dr B R Ambedkar's statue in Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh recently.

The outfits, which had earlier given a call for a Hubli-Dharwad bandh, today withdrew the call and decided to take out a silent procession. They also submitted a memorandum in this regard to the Tahsildar.
