Courier agent arrested for cheating
Nadiad, Gujarat Dec 4 (UNI) A man was arrested by police here for allegedly cheating his firm.
Police said, the accused, Kalubhai Meghwal, an angadia (courier) agent, was arrested for cheating his firm, Ambalal Mohanlal Angadia, for Rs four lakh.
Kalubhai was handed over the cash by Anand town branch of the firm, about 20 kms from here, to deliver it at Nadiad. However, Kalubhai informed his office that he was looted on his way by two unknown robbers.
But, when a police complaint was registered by Hiteshbhai, the chief manager of the head office at Ahmedabad, in Nadiad police station, Kalubhai confessed his crime.
Police have registrered a case under sections 403 and 408 of the Indian Penal Code and investigations are on.
