Cheat arrested for duping businessmen of Rs 1.50 crore
New Delhi, Dec 4 (UNI) The Anti Forgery Section of the Crime Branch has arrested a cheat for duping raw cashew businessmen from Kerala to the tune of Rs 1.50 crore.
Police said Dhananjay Kumar Verma, proprietor of M/S Indo Africa Marketing Ltd, was arrested from Vaishali area of Ghaziabad on November 30. Verma's associate Sushant Puri is still absconding.
The accused used to dupe the businessmen by showing them forged documents and securing contracts for supply of raw cashew nuts through a Nigeria-based company.
During investigation, Verma admitted to have hatched a criminal conspiracy against complainant Kerala-based company M/s St George Foods and other companies.
