Chanu goes down fighting in judo QF

Doha, Dec 4 (UNI) Woman judoka Angom Anita Chanu put up a brave fight but lost to Kyung Ok Kim of Korea in the 52 kg category quaterfinal bout at the Qatar Sports Club Indoor Hall here today.

The Korean earned one yuko, a full point, as against none by Chanu though the Indian matched her rival in scoring a Koka.

Kim used Tai-otoshi (body drop) to overpower the Indian in five minutes.

Earlier in the day, Chanu defeated Van Do Khanh of Vietnam to enter the quarterfinal.
