Centre clears Tata's thermal power plant in Delhi
New Delhi, Dec 4 (UNI) Additional Solicitor General Amarendar Saran today informed the Supreme Court that the Centre has given all requisite clearence to the Tatas for setting up a thermal power station in Delhi.
The government also told a bench comprising Justices K G Balakrishnan and D K Jain that the file has already been forwarded to the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for allotmewnt of land to the Tatas, whose proposal for settimg up a power generation plant in the national capital to overcome acute electricity shortage, has been pending with the government since 2003.
The court adjourned the hearing by four weeks.
