Advani, Vajpayee, Rajnath to attend Badal's B'day rally

Jalandhar, Dec 4 (UNI) Top BJP leadership, including former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Lal Krishna Advani and BJP President Rajnath Singh, will participate in the rally to be organised jointly by Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and ally BJP in Ajitwal-Moga on December 8 to mark SAD Supremo Parkash Singh Badal's 80th birthday.

Talking to reporters here today, BJP state general secretary Rajinder Singh Bhandhari said at the rally, leadership of BJP and SAD would expose before the public the failure of the ruling Congress to arrest rising trend in the prices of essential commodities and ''anti poor'' stand of the Amarinder Singh Government in Punjab.

He said that the rally would be a mega joint event of SAD-BJP combine ahead of the next assembly elections and would set in motion the ranks and files of the alliance parties for the ensuing war of ballots.

The BJP state unit had been making all organisational preparations to make the rally a grand success. Over 50,000 BJP workers from all over the state would participate in the rally, he said.
