84.11 per cent polling in Thiruvambadi bypoll

Kozhikode, Dec 4 (UNI) Massive voter turn out marked the polling in Thiruvambadi Assembly bypoll, the first after the CPI (M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) government assumed office in Kerala six months ago.

Chief Electoral Officer and District Collector B Sreenivas told UNI that 84.11 per cent of voters, out of 160,984, exercised their franchise as polling came to a close at 1700 hrs.
