4 hotel employees die due to food poisoning

Raipur, Dec 4 (UNI) Four employees of a sweetmeat shop at Raigarh town died and another was seriously affected by food poisoning and inhaling poisonous gas from coal oven on Saturday night, police said.

Police said after finishing their day's work, five employees took food and slept on the floor near the kitchen. When an acquaintance tried to wake them up next morning, four, aged between 20 and 30 years, were found dead. Niranjan(25) was found in a serious condition and hospitalised.

Prima facie investigation by police revealed the cause of death as food poisoning and due to inhaling poisonous gas, police added.
